Roses are Viscous Red

And violets
Are
Icy blue
As are we
The blue of
A winter snow-approaching
Sky
Bereft and cold
Hard to imagine
Paradise
Or our existence
In such a realm
Or you there
Now
So willing to battle
To fight
To struggle in viscous red
Struggle in icy blue
Desperate always to know
The consistency of our love
For you
