Mom and Baby Expo Comes to Portland

PORTLAND, ME – The Portland Mom and Baby Expo comes to Portland, Maine on May 6th and 7th at the Portland Exposition Building at 239 Park Avenue.

The Portland Mom and Baby Expo is sponsored by Babies”R”Us, Birth Roots, and Mercy Hospital and features more than 80 vendors dedicated to the health, wellness and interests of local families who are pregnant or have had a baby in the past few years.

Portland Baby Expo logoThe Portland Mom and Baby Expo is a fun, educational way for Portland area moms and moms-to-be to explore all the wonderful resources available to new families in the area.

“Women in Portland are so fortunate to live here because there are so many caring and compassionate companies and services here who are dedicated to the health and well being of moms, babies and families,” says Darcy Sauers, Assistant Show Director.  “We are so excited to bring all these resources together for one weekend to make it easier for expecting and new families to do their research.”

Free seminars will be running on both days and feature topics such as Car Seat Safety,  Safe Sleep, Herbs for Pregnancy, Pumping and Going Back to Work, Ask the Midwife and more.  The Seminar Stage is sponsored by Brett Larkin of Primerica.  See the full seminar schedule at

Kate Northrup, money maven, new mom, Portland area native and author of Money, A Love Story will be presenting her seminar, “Mama Wealth” on Saturday, May 6th  at 11:30am.

There will be sample Mom & Baby Yoga classes, storytimes with the Portland Public Library at their Portland Bookmobile, free smoothies in the Oakhurst booth, a Diaper Derby sponsored by Babies “R” Us and meet and greets with Slugger the Sea Dog, Crusher the Red Claw and Geoffrey the Giraffe.

The cost for admission is $5 for adults.  Kids and babies are free.
