Focus
By Paula A Peters, Sanford
Oh where are you when I need you
Why would you leave me like this
It’s so hard living without you
I just might go mad
I probably already have
Because I haven’t got a plan
Nothing comes to mind
At least not easily
Nothing is such a vast plane
But I’m standing on it
I’m shaking and stumbling
Every step in every direction
This vicious cycle is deafening
It definitely needs to end
One of us surely will
It will not be me
