Songwriter and performer Catie Curtis threatened to take up stripping if her Kickstarter fundraising campaign didn’t work out. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for us, she was able to raise the money for her brand new CD, due out in January 2017. The award-winning singer has already released more than 13 albums, performed at the White House, recorded a duet with Kris Kristofferson and received some delightful praise from The New Yorker. The cultural touchstone called Curtis a “folk-rock goddess,” an apt descriptor for the Maine native.
When she’s not writing songs or singing them, she can be found in high schools across the country, leading songwriting workshops and educating the next generation of musical goddesses.
